ABDEL WAHAB 📍Sodeco
One of the oldest restaurants in Beirut, and I can’t believe that after living in Lebanon for 5 years, this is my first time ever tryin it.
They have 3 branches in Beirut: Sodeco, Abc Achrafieh and The Backyard Hazmieh
We tried the one in Sodeco and we really enjoyed their new renovated Summer terrace. I liked that it didn’t have that really busy atmosphere like most know Lebanese restaraunts do, it felt calm and private on that terrace (but we visited on a weekday, maybe on Weekends it would be more busy)
For food we ordered:
Tabbouleh (6.50$) yumm
Beetroot feta salad (7,50$) really liked this one
Warak Enab (8$) this one was very nice and juicy
Mouhamara (9,75$) was just alright
Chich Barak fatteh (12$) not bad
Slow cooked beef (20$) and Smoked Australian meat (29$) were good meat but tooo salty
They also have Shisha. And it’s really good.
🧡When to go: Family lunch/ Business lunch
💞Overall it’s a nice option for a lunch if you feel like Lebanese food and want to enjoy a Summer terrace with a view of Lebanese heritage houses.
The food was alright, full of flavours, but some of the items, in my opinion, had too much salt. I hope they can put a bit less salt. Although the ingredients are all of great quality.
💵 Price per person: around 35$
