ANACHAR BASBOUS 📍RACHANA
Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in the village of Rachana you will find a house hanging over the cliff that will totally mesmerize you.
Anchar Basbous is the owner of this place and the sculptor of all the artwork you will find in this museum. It was pleasure to meet him and learn about his passion for the sculptures.
His father Michel Basbous was an artist as well and was one of the first ones to practice modern sculpture in the Middle East.
The artwork and the place are truly breathtaking. I loved the minimalistic grey walls of the building and the stunning sea views.
Lebanon should be proud to have people opening places like this. The place is wonderful and extremely inspiring.
The best thing is that it is open for public and the entrance is free of charge.
We need more places like this.
The museum is open all week except Monday from 10:00-16:00
It’s better to call before going and book an appointment just in case.
