BEIT NOUN 📍 MECHMECH
This weekend, we stayed at a lovely old Lebanese house that has been beautifully renovated into a charming guesthouse in the heart of Mount Lebanon.
The guesthouse has 13 rooms, and each one is uniquely designed with its own special style. The rooms are cozy and beautifully decorated. The room we took was a Duplex, which means it had two floors and a lovely view.
Outside, there's a big swimming pool surrounded by trees, making it feel like you're in the countryside of Tuscany.
On weekends, they serve a buffet lunch with homemade Lebanese food. It costs $50 per person and includes soft drinks. The food was tasty, especially the desserts, but it felt a bit expensive to me, especially because most of the dishes were vegetarian. Nevertheless, the food and the atmosphere made it worth it.
For dinner, you can eat at the guesthouse's restaurant. The menu is a bit limited, and some options like pasta and pizza are only vegetarian. But the food is delicious. I recommend trying the Aioli spaghetti with garlic sauce ($17), Grilled eggplant with labneh ($12), Prosciutto sandwich ($14), Australian beef steak ($32), and Smashed fried potatoes ($4).
