GLASS HOUSE RESTAURANT AT BOUYOUTIđź“ŤCHOUF
Located in the beautiful hills in Beit El Din, we came to this breathtaking guesthouse just for their restaurant for a late lunch and had a really great time.
The place is extremely beautiful and peaceful. The nature, the mountains, the views... everything gives you a very nice feeling as soon as you arrive at Bouyoti Guesthouse.
The Glass House restaurant is a very nice and cozy place, with its fireplace and panoramic views. It has about 8 tables, so it is better to reserve your seat in advance, just in case.
The cuisine is international and the menu offers very interesting dishes. But some dishes were not available at the time of our visit. So, we tried what they had available on the menu that day. We had pumpkin soup; it was delicious. I liked that it was without cream, which made it very rich in flavor. But it was a little too salty. We also had the hot goat salad, it was a very good goat cheese salad, only a little too small. Then, we ate truffle ravioli, it was very good but there are only 6 pieces and there is no real truffle, so it was mostly the mushroom filling that we tasted. As well as the lasagna with duck was extraordinary. This dish is delicious beyond words! Mouthwatering lasagna, not too greasy, not too sausagey, flavorful duck... it was simply heavenly delicious. The veal with mushrooms was a little too dry, so the price is not justified. As a last main course, we had the beef steak, it was not bad, just not bad. The potato and mushroom sides were very good. The desserts were not very special either.
So, we opted for the Ixsir Grand Reserve white wine, which I didn't like because it was too sweet and didn't go with the food.
Overall, if you are visiting the Chouf area, this is a nice restaurant to visit for lunch. I would have liked to stay in their guest house, but they do not allow pets. The service was very pleasant. The food is overpriced. I recommend going there for lunch or dinner with family or enjoying a romantic date there as well.
