Founded in 1981, Al Jammal restaurant is located on the old Sea Side Road, Kfarabida, Batroun.
If you are looking for a great seafood restaurant by the sea or in the case of this place, literally in the sea, then you should visit this absolutely beautiful hidden gem in Batroun. Whether you arrive by boat, car, or tuksi you get to enjoy the outdoor terrace that reaches the sea; tan, and swim in the sun.
What is so special about Jammal is that its guests can literally dip their toes into the water. It is located in a small bay on the beach where you can dine directly on the sea! Al Jammal restaurant is known for serving the best and freshest local fish and seafood.
We went there on Monday of last week, it was empty, but at the same time great! The whole beach just for us. Yes, last week the weather was still amazing and we had a wonderful swim.
From the menu, we ordered mezze and fish. But of course, we started by having tabbouleh and fattouch but unfortunately, they were rather average, as was the hummus. Their warak enab is really good though. Next, we had Sultan Ibrahim and sea bream for the main courses. It was extremely delicious, juicy, and fresh, although we waited for some time for it to be cooked.
One of the downsides of the place is the prices, for instance, the fish is pricey. But you pay for the place’s location, private beach access, and the freshest fish so in the end it’s definitely worth it.
The service was good, but then again we were the only table ordering food, so don’t know how it is on a crowded day.
