TERRE šGEMMAYZE
This new restaurant & bar in Gemmayze is a must-visit if you want to experience local food prepared for you in a way you've certainly never tried before!
The menu is not very large, but it will change with the seasons. Plus, all the ingredients are local.
They serve really amazing cocktails. The one we enjoyed the most was the Celery & Chilli. It's with Tequila (38.00LL) it was so good; I loved the spicy quick at the end. We had 6 each... but don't tell anyone.
Good music, and a very good atmosphere; makes you want to stay there for hours.
The interior is extremely modern and elegant. It was nice to see such a cool place open in Lebanon.
We tried several items from their delicious menu.
I liked Burrata and especially the beetroot jerky that comes with it. We also tried the agnolotti, which is like ravioli with potato and mushrooms I liked it THE MOST. Their leek was not bad, but not a dish I would order again. Their green risotto with veal was just AMAZING!!
The pork sausage dish, to be honest, I didn't eat it. I didn't like it and I told them about it. There was too much salt, too much oil, and fat. I felt like it was 20% meat and 80% something else. Maybe people who like greasy and oily things will find it to their liking.
A little pricey for local ingredients. The service is extremely pleasant.
Overall, it's a great place for a romantic date. At night, the lights are dimmed. Both the interior and the terrace are nice. And the cocktails are simply WOW. You can also come there just for a drink, and sit at the bar.
