BAHSA BY AL MANDALOUN đź“ŤBATROUN
Most of the time, what attracts us to visit a place, is its location… Al Mandaloun Bahsa has an ideal location overlooking one of the most beautiful beaches in Lebanon, Batroun! This place offers you a beautiful sea view and a charming atmosphere.
We went on Monday for dinner, then came back for late breakfast the next day and had two different experiences. Personally, I liked it more during the day. There were no crowds in the restaurant, the atmosphere was extremely relaxing and pleasant.
We wanted to try their breakfast menu, but we came after 12 and it was already over, so we ordered Kallaj sandwiches with ham and cheese. They were honestly quite satisfying.
We spent several hours sitting there enjoying the sea and beach vibes. You can even soak in the sea and then return to your table, they don't mind, plus they have a shower. The design of the place is beautiful, I felt like I was in Greece and every corner is extremely Instagramable.
When we went to dinner, I didn't enjoy it as much because I had higher expectations for the food. Here is what he ordered that evening, first we ordered the Fattoush Bahsa with halloumi, it was fresh and tasted good but a pretty small portion honestly. We also ordered the truffle fries which were sadly disappointing… unlike the grilled cauliflower, it was juicy and tasty, and the tahini sauce that was served with it was also really delicious. Then we had guacamole and chips. The guac itself was super appetizing, but the chips, excuse my expression but horrible! It felt like they were out of the pack for several days, truly inedible. The last thing we ordered was the truffle pasta, it was extremely average and they served it cold. Making a strong comeback was the dessert, we had the fruits with avocado, it was so colorful and fresh, I really liked it. On the menu, it is titled as a special cocktail. We paired the food with a bottle of Astoria wine.
They could train the staff a bit more since the service could be better.
Overall, for me, the place is a must-visit during the day! You can enjoy your time there for a family lunch, or dinner with friends, and maybe even a date night by the Batroun beach. The absolute best part is that it is pet friendly, so you can enjoy a wonderful road trip to Batroun with your dog!
