Walking through the streets of Gemmayze, you would never think of finding a hidden place like this, unless you were already looking for it. It is a beautiful, hidden place that makes you feel like you stepped into a fairy tale. It is both a tea store and a cafe. The goal of the place is to bring highly prized teas and the world's most unique tea blends fresh from farmers' fields to your cup. This beautiful hidden garden makes you feel like you have been teleported to a fairy tale and are no longer in Beirut. The atmosphere is very calm and quiet, with classical/jazz music playing in the background.
You can go to the Blue House for breakfast/brunch and lunch/dinner, or just for afternoon tea🫖 with delicious desserts. We went there for an afternoon drink and enjoyed some cocktails
We chose the Garden Affair "Gin&Tonic" with jasmine, rosemary, strawberries, and lemon. It was really good. We also ordered gluten-free Hammoussa with feta cheese and cherry tomatoes for a snack. It was really delicious. The service was good!
Although this place is absolutely magical, some pillows were a bit dirty and not very neat. Their food menu is extremely limited and because of how relaxing the atmosphere is, you feel like you are ready to fall asleep, and so we didn’t feel like staying for long.
Overall, the place is very cute and definitely worth a visit for someone looking for a tea room with great desserts, or just to take beautiful pictures. I suggest enjoying a special and unique tea time with friends. You can also rent the whole place for a birthday or special event.
