BARAKIT ASMAT 📍BATROUN

Last week we were with my parents and I was lucky enough to find this authentic guesthouse located in the old town of Batroun and only a 3-minute walk from Bahsa.

Barakit Asmat Guest House is known for its vintage and antique furniture characterized by its aesthetic and historical significance. It offers only 2 bedrooms and the rooms are extremely comfortable with a traditional Lebanese design.

One of the rooms has a bathroom inside and another outside the room, but this was not a problem since we were the only ones staying there. This guesthouse feels like home and the people who run the place make sure you feel extremely welcome. They don't have a lot of experience with guesthouses yet, but they do their best.

On the first floor, there is a café where you can enjoy breakfast; it is actually included in the price of the room. In fact, anyone can have breakfast, coffee, homemade desserts, or a few bites in their café, you don't need to rent one of their rooms to do so. Just stop by and enjoy the warm setting of their garden. Their food menu is very limited though, for breakfast they just mostly offer different kinds of toast, as their cafe is vegetarian/vegan, so you won’t even find eggs there. That’s a downside, especially if you are staying there for a few days, I would definitely add some more dishes. But we still enjoyed our breakfast, we ordered avocado and labneh goat cheese toast. They were pretty good and tasty. We also tried their homemade banana bread and carrot cake, they are a little dry but not too sweet, which I liked! And their coffee is amazing. They have electricity 24/7, Wi-Fi, and AC in the room.

Overall, it's a nice place to stay in Batroun, it really feels like a friend's house. I would definitely go back, although I did not like the smell of the towels... I honestly recommend you add it to your list and go there as soon as possible. It is kid and pet friendly! You will definitely enjoy it anytime, whether it's with family, friends, or even your partner. The room rates vary depending on the day of the week. During the week, they charge $120 and $150 on weekends, but you can get a discount if you book both rooms!
