BAZALT 📍ACHRAFIEH
Last week we had a lovely date night in this new Asian restaurant in Achrafieh. We visited it on a Sunday, the place was full and the ambiance was lively.
We sat on the bar (because they don’t give you a table if you are only two people) which can be a downside if you are not in the mood to sit at the bar and wish to have more intimate settings.
Anyways it didn’t bother us that much.
The food is Asian, Italian and Mediterranean.
We ordered:
☺️Artichoke Salad (24$) nice and fresh, great portion but pricey for salad
😋Shrimp Wonton (17$) not bad
😍Aubergine Miso (15$) I loved it
😕Adele rolls 8 pcs (30$) very average for the price
🙃Volcano Maki (15$) alright
We also trie some of the classical cocktails an some of their special ones - it was really nice. Also the bartenders were very friendly and were serving us fast.
The food arrived fast as well.
For drinks we had Electic Jasper with beetroot (12$). Interesting haven’t tried such drink before
Negroni (12$) really good 👍🏻
The downsides:
- I didn’t enjoy cold lighting above you when you sit at the bar, it did go dim at the end of the night, but I would have kept it dim at all times, or at least make warm lighting not cold
- overpriced
- for the Asian/ Japanese part the options are a bit limited
- not as comfortable to eat at the bar if you order many dishes

🧡Overall I loved the place and the music was really great, the vibe and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I had higher expectations for the sushi as it’s an Asian restaurant, but I did love all the other items that we took. The bar and the cocktails are impressive. Would try it again.
