MONKEY TALE 📍BYBLOS
Imagine a new beach spot that's sailed all the way from Qatar to Byblos. It's called Monkey Tale.
In the daytime, you can get inside through Edde Sands, but here's the deal - you need to pay $28 before 5 p.m. But, the sweet part is they greet you with a free drink.
Now, if you're in the mood for extra comfort, you can rent a beach bed, but it'll set you back $60. Some might find that a tad pricey.
But here's a tip: after 5 p.m., you can just walk in without paying an entrance fee. It's a good time to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset.
When I visited, it was in its soft opening phase, so there weren't many people around. But now, they're in full swing, ready to welcome guests.
On weekends, you can expect some lively beats from DJs. And if you plan to visit at night, be aware that there's a minimum charge of $40-65 per person if you want a table. However, during sunset hours, you won't be asked for a minimum charge.
Now, there is one small hiccup - the food menu is quite limited. It's mostly sandwiches, wraps, and a handful of salads. We gave the Italian salad with mozzarella a try for $10 and also tried the lahme and tawouk wraps, each priced around $7. They were decent, but a broader menu would have been appreciated.
As for drinks, I went with a glass of Prosecco, which set me back $8.5. All in all, I'd rate it an 8/10.
They keep their doors open from 12 p.m. until 3 a.m., and you can expect to spend around $35 per person.
It's a fantastic spot for a beach day, a tranquil sunset viewing, or a fun night out with your pals. Personally, I'm excited to return and check out their nighttime parties soon
