BURGUNDY 📍SAIFI
This is one of the most luxurious and refined restaurants in Beirut. The menu is quite limited, but there are many seasonal dishes that one can request. The ingredients of the dishes are all of the highest quality and extremely fresh. With that being said, we tried several dishes from the menu!
We had a Japanese salad with tuna tartar on rice flakes. The salad leaves and the dressing was fantastic ($75). We also had frog legs ($45) which were just amazing! This is their special dish; you should definitely try it if you go there. For the main course, we tried the ribs ($130) which were really tender and delicious. They are cooked all day before being served. We also had the mushroom risotto which was not on the menu. The mushrooms were incredibly fresh and the portion was really big ($140). It was delicious but I couldn't imagine it would cost that much!
The portions were correct, we left feeling full. The wine is another reason to go to this restaurant. All the wines are mainly French and come from the Burgundy region. The wine collection is very large and the wines are divine. You should definitely go there if you appreciate good wine. The average price of a bottle is $130.
The restaurant has a beautiful interior and a chic atmosphere. The service is very professional. They treat you with a lot of respect. The best service I have ever seen in Lebanon.
Overall, the place was a bit too quiet; the ambiance could be improved. It was very expensive, but if you can afford it then why not have the best fine dining experience ever in Beirut? I recommend going there for dinner with friends or to celebrate special occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays, or romantic dinners.
VAT is not mentioned on the menu.
