LE SUSHI BAR 📍 DOWNTOWN

Hey there! I heard you’ve been looking for a sushi date night and I’ve got the right place for you! Opened in 1998, Le Sushi Bar offers a wide-ranging menu of Japanese cuisine with one of the largest selections of signature dishes and remains a front-runner in its field and a phenomenal success in the country.

You can sit outside on the terrace overlooking the downtown buildings or inside and enjoy the chic, modern interior setup. I highly recommend booking this place for a Friday or Saturday night dinner as it has a very inviting ambiance, it gets crowded and there is music playing in the background.

Although I was expecting more of a lounge-style like music, instead you get a Virgin-Radio type of style.
Since we visited Le Sushi Bar on a Friday, we had to kick off the night with some of our favorite drinks. I ordered the Big in Japan cocktail (8$) which is truly a must-try.

We tried a variety of dishes from their menu. For starters, we got the Duck salad (18$) they were very generous with their portion, and it had lots of greens and crispy duck, super fresh, and super tasty. We also tried their spicy tuna on crispy rice as an amuse-bouche (7$) the combination of the different textures made this a really delicious dish.

After enjoying their appetizers, we wanted to try some of the sushi and special rolls they offered. Simple salmon sushi (8$) is really good, with high-quality salmon but too expensive for only 2 pieces. Then we tried different types of their signature and 5 pieces Maki rolls which cost around (9-12$). I liked the remastan roll the most (13$) with shrimp tempura, avocado, and flambéed salmon and Majid liked the special tuna the most (7$). We didn't like the ones with baked blue crab (16 $) it was plain, and simple tuna/salmon Maki as well. For dessert we had mochi (7$ for 2 pieces) I would call it mochi wanna-be, it's not that bad and you might like it if you never tried real Japanese mochi before.

Overall, some rolls were really tasty and some could be better. The combination of ingredients in some signature buns has an acquired taste and is a bit too strong on the palate.
