FIDAR BEACH HOUSE 📍 BYBLOS
It was a nice sunny day in the middle of Spring and I just really wanted to go have lunch somewhere right by the sea🌊
I found Fidar Beach house on Instagram, checked the pictures and said to myself … wow this is the place! 😍 Looked soo beautiful… but as we all know pictures might be deceiving ….
🔸It all started with the disappointing SERVICE. When we arrived the place didn’t have much people and I really wanted to sit at the table closer by the sea view … but the waitress said no it’s booked (yeah we booked a table also)
So I asked can we sit on the second raw at least? She said no it’s also booked. People are coming soon. Spoiler alert: people didn’t come.
I was already disappointed that they were refusing to give us a good table. AFTER we ate our food, and I continued asking to move us to the good table as it was FREE the whole time! They finally agreed😑
🔸So the FOOD :
➕Tabouleh was alright and ➖Fattouche we didn’t like that much. But the portions were large.
➕Hummus was good.
➕Grilled Octopus was very big portion, soft, but nothing extraordinary.
➕Spicy Shrimps were pretty good
➖Grilled Calamari. Were absolutely tasteless. I asked to remove it after I had one bite of it. The waitress was trying to convince us that this is how they should taste. Yeah right… I tried way too many grilled calamaris in my life not to know how good ones should taste.
The calamari that we didn’t eat of course were included in the bill (don’t like when places do this) after complaining they did remove it though.
➕Sultan Ibrahim fish tasted really good. I liked it. But too pricey.
For Dessert we had Fidariyeh, it was alright.
Took wine by bottle Blanc de blanc.
🔸Overall the PLACE itself is very beautiful! Really enjoyed being by the sea! I loved that they are also pet friendly 🐶
I’d expect waiters to be more friendly and welcoming though, when prices are that high...
