Liza is a beautiful restaurant located on the hidden street of Ashrafieh that will charm you with its traditional Lebanese interior. The restaurant is ideal for lunch or dinner and it is also known as a place for small engagement parties or birthdays, as you can rent a certain section or the whole place for your event.
The place is extremely chic and elegant and each room has a unique charm and interior. The restaurant offers delicious Lebanese cuisine and is a must-visit if you want to dine in a beautiful setting or show someone what a traditional Lebanese interior looks like.
We tried several dishes from the menu and we were not disappointed! We started by ordering hummus portobello mushrooms. (485,000LL/11$) It was actually a perfect combination of both flavors. We also had the smoked fire tabbouleh with beetroot. (335,000LL/7,7$) I personally loved this salad so much, much more than their classical tabbouleh. Then, the French filet kibbe nayye. (595,000LL/14$) It is one of the best kibbe nayye’s I’ve ever tried. We also ordered the pumpkin kibbe. (310,000LL/7$) It was super juicy and rich in flavor, as well as moujjanet mix. (485,000LL/11$) it was a nice mix of rakakat, sfiha, and fatayer. For the main courses, we had filet de boeuf tagliata. (1,540,000LL/35$) It was a really great thinly sliced steak. Then, we had chicken with fire. (660,00LL/15$) It was dry, I wouldn’t order it again. And the last dish was the Armenian mante. (615,000LL/14$) This is truly a must-try!
For dessert, try the rice pudding with butterscotch and crunch. (595,000LL/14$) This was extremely delicious. We paired the food with a bottle of Chateau Qanafar red wine. (L$1,250,000/$30) The service was friendly and professional.
Overall, Liza has introduced a new menu and the new items are extremely impressive. The quality of the food has increased since the last time I tried this place (2 years ago). I highly recommend going there for dinner with friends or for a date night. You can also enjoy celebrating special occasions there.
