GRECCO 📍 BYBLOS
If you are looking for a special place for a romantic date by the sea, this restaurant located in South Byblos is the perfect place.
At Grecco, there are about 6 tables for couples right next to the water. I really enjoyed the location of our table, especially if you want to watch the sunset! The view and the sea breeze are just breathtaking.
The menu is very diverse, from seafood to burgers to pizza. I didn't try every dish, but the ones we ordered were satisfying. For starters, we had a Mediterranean salad: Mediterranean Salad aka Fattouch.
We also had marinated octopus with potato salad, I liked this dish the most, and whitefish tartar with avocado and wasabi ice cream. The fish was very fresh, but I found the ice cream a little too sweet for this dish.
For the main course, we had seafood linguini, it was pretty good, and I enjoyed it. The pasta was overcooked a bit though. I liked the sauce it had shrimp, mussels, and octopus. We also ordered spicy butter shrimp. Not bad, but it was not very appetizing. The shrimps were a bit overcooked too. For drinks, I had Astoria prosecco by the glass and found its price very fair!
The service was very pleasant and the food arrived very quickly. The restaurant is obviously expensive, but the dishes we ordered were worth it. The ingredients were fresh and the place is definitely a must-try.
After dinner, we headed to the back area with the bar and couches for a few more drinks. Again, it was very nice. Plus, the social distance is good!
I recommend going there for a date night, or to celebrate special occasions. You can also enjoy a nice dinner there with your friends, but you should make reservations in advance.
