Located in a very old house in Achrafieh, this is a very special place, La Menagerie is a restaurant/bar located in an old Lebanese building and has a great vintage atmosphere! With its unique & extremely charming interior, you will feel as if you have been teleported to the gorgeous streets of Paris.
Well, the atmosphere of the place was extremely charming, with dim lighting, romantic music, a comfortable atmosphere, and beautiful outdoor seating. The only inconvenience of outdoor seating is the passing cars, which blind you with their headlights every two minutes.
The place offers food, but honestly, we didn't feel like trying anything from their menu at that point. So, we just enjoyed our wine and then ate elsewhere. But I know the place across the street called Bread Republic has the same owner, so you can order pizza there. They have a very large variety of wines both local and imported. So, unfortunately, I can’t really tell you anything about their food, whether it’s good or bad, but I posted their menu in the carousel.
We went for red wine and the waitress recommend we go for a Chateau Qanafar bottle. It was pretty pricey for a local wine but we really loved it. They have a really good wine collection.
The service was pretty nice. La Menagerie is actually pet-friendly, and a way to my heart is definitely through Iris, as I like the staff who treats Iris well, gets her water directly without asking, etc. I recommend going there for a first date or for a romantic date night; for an average of 35$ per person.
