LE PETIT GRIS 📍SAIFI

Last night Majid took me to a French restaurant in Saifi called Le Petit Gris. I was quite surprised to learn that it has been around for 10 years, as I only discovered this place recently. In fact, it seems to be quite well known because it is full every day. Although it is rather small with only 10 tables inside.

Le Petit Gris is undeniably perfect for a date and its design is extremely cozy. While it looks a bit more exciting from the outside, as that's how I learned about the place, I actually saw it while walking around and wanted to visit.

Le Petit Gris is a unique bistro concept that combines a gourmet experience with the authenticity and generosity of French and Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant offers classic French dishes as well as typical Lebanese dishes, like birds, snails, etc. The menu is very varied, but when we visited, half of the dishes were not available. Like the Burrata, the mussels and fries and the Australian beef steak, mainly the dishes we wanted to order...
So we had onion soup, which I absolutely loved. We also ordered steak and fries which was honestly ordinary. The green sauce it came with didn't go with the steak at all, so I asked for a pepper sauce and it went perfectly with the steak.

For dessert, the pavlova is a must-try! It is one of my favorite desserts. It was the first time I tried it in Lebanon. Pavlova is a meringue-based dessert named after the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova. This dessert became a national dessert in Australia after the dancer toured the country in the 1920s.

I loved that they had a great selection of wines, not only by the bottle but also by the glass. I had a glass of B-Qa red wine, it was truly rich and opulent.

The service was good, as they served our dishes promptly. Although the place is expensive, everything else was just pretty perfect, but the ambiance or maybe the design of the place doesn't make you feel like you were in a high-end restaurant.

But overall, it's worth a try for high-quality food for an average of 60$ per person. I highly recommend going there to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries or just enjoying a date night.
