LOLA WINTER EDITION📍BIKFAYA
I promised you that once I’m back in Lebanon, I will share more winter spots with you! Although I already reviewed Lola last year in the summer, we visited it this winter, and I loved it even more!
In winter, the restaurant moves inside the cozy mountain-style house with a blazing fireplace. The overall atmosphere is extremely comfortable, warm, and romantic. Lola is a restaurant located in Naas, Bikfaya, and it serves a variety of French and Mediterranean cuisine, including several dishes such as steaks, fondues, all kinds of cheeses, salads, chicken, etc.
The last time I was here, I tried Lola's steak and French fries but I didn't like it at all… Therefore, this time, I decided to order a different steak from their menu! I ordered fillet de bœuf and Majid took entrecôte de bœuf, both steaks were medium well and served with pepper sauce. As a side dish, you can choose from fries, mashed potatoes, or roasted potatoes.
The steaks were expensive, but they were really good. We were both satisfied, as we enjoyed it with a glass of wine. The portion seems small, but it was really filling, and the sauce is also quite heavy. I preferred what we ordered this time much more than the last, the steaks were rich in flavor, juicy and the sauce matched it perfectly.
We also tried Salad Paul with greens and brie cheese, it was really tasty as well.
For dessert we had Profiteroles, honestly, it was just alright, definitely too creamy for me. In general, their dessert options are not wide-ranging.
Overall, I think it's a very nice place to visit during winter. They have fondue cheese and meat platters, and meat that you grill yourself, but I haven't tried those yet, I usually go there for a steak.
The only downside is that the dishes worth trying are expensive, for an average of 60$ per person. The place is always full, so I suggest booking in advance.
I recommend going there for a date night, or enjoying lunch/dinner with family or friends.
