LITTE REED đź“ŤQSAYBE VILLAGE
Located in the village of Qsaybe, 30 minutes from Beirut, Little Reed is a historic home where love resides and is shared through interaction with nature, animals, and traditions while enjoying the delicious homemade dishes prepared by the women of the village.
This is a fun outing for families, especially for children, as they have a small farm with donkeys, goats, chickens, and even peacocks! We were lucky enough to meet the family that owns this place; they are absolutely lovely, kind, and down-to-earth people! They were kind enough to stop by our table and tell us all about the history of the place.
The idea is to make you feel like you are visiting your grandparents' house while reconnecting with nature and immersing yourself in Lebanese traditions and delicious local cuisine. Their buffet doesn't have a wide variety of dishes. They have a few salads, mezzas, and hot dishes, but I found it very satisfying.
All the dishes were very tasty, fresh, and extremely mouthwatering, especially the Kusa and Horaa Osbao which were just out of this world! The only thing I didn't like was the Warak Enap, it was way too dry. And one thing I really like about this place is that their hot dishes from the buffet change every Sunday!
Therefore, you get to go there a couple of times and get to try different dishes from a delicious buffet for an average of 30$ per person. Generally, lunch is a self-serve buffet, the waiters just serve you drinks. At times, they were a little lost, but it was also the first day they were open. The place is pretty busy.
Usually, they can accommodate around 200 people a day, but now with Corona, they only take 90 people. They can also arrange private events for you.
Overall, we enjoyed our Sunday at this place. The extremely welcoming and friendly owners make you feel right at home. And we had fun visiting the farm and the animals! We will definitely be back soon! As far as social distance goes, some tables were properly distant to match the social distance requirements and others were a little closer together. At the buffet, the staff always wears masks and puts the food on the plates.
I highly recommend getting there at 12 pm and enjoying a full day with your family at Little Reed. The best part is that it is pet friendly!
