SEPT WINERY 📍NAHLA
Sept is the first biodynamic winery in Lebanon and a fantastic place for lunch with amazing views of the mountains and the sea.
This place really has an incredible atmosphere and a very special vibe! Maher, the owner of this extremely unique winery left everything behind in France to embark on this exclusive journey. He planted the vines with his own hands, reviving his father’s land and making his dream come true. The place is rather limited in terms of seating, but it feels exclusive and it's crowded! It feels like lunch in a friend's backyard.
We started our experience with wine tasting. They serve you a small amount of their 4 kinds of wines, which are made from organic grapes from different regions of Lebanon. After the tasting, you choose the one you liked the most, and you can order a glass or a bottle for an extra charge of course. We chose the white "Vin de Lieu", it was good, I really liked it.
Then, we proceeded to lunch, their menu mainly focuses on Lebanese cuisine with a special twist! They serve unique dishes with extraordinary presentation and unbelievable tastes. I personally really loved their smoked cauliflower and smoked leek soup. The Smoked Kebbeh with beetroot was tremendously delightful. We also tried the potato kebbe and let me tell you that it was so rich in flavor. Their Fatteh with eggplant was appetizing and succulent, and their Moghrabieh with homemade chorizo was uniquely flavorsome!
Everything they serve is fresh and delicious. For the main course, we had goat meat steak skewers that were super dry which we didn't like at all, but the purple baked carrots on the side were amazing. For dessert they served homemade Ayesh el Saraya, it was just heavenly and delicious!
Regarding the pricing, I think purchasing wine is a bit too pricey, but for food, they charge 35$ per person and I think it is quite reasonable.
I recommend going there with friends or with family for lunch, and the best part is that your pet can join you! Keep in mind that the place is only open on Weekends including Fridays, and booking is a must.
