SLICE 📍ZAAROUR
Located in the Zaarour Mountains, this Italian restaurant is housed in a wooden house that offers charming views. The place is comfortable and has a fireplace. It is a unique restaurant to visit if you want to taste good Italian food in the mountains.
Their menu has a variety of Italian dishes and here’s what we tried:
- Bresaola carpaccio (7,5$) this was an excellent starter! Extremely delicious and definitely a must-order!
- Portobello Mushroom (7$) this wood-fired mushroom was the star of the show for me, a very special dish. Super rich in flavors, this was very mouthwatering.
- Olives with Swiss cheese and Focaccia on the side ($8) very special appetizer and I loved the fact that I haven't seen this kind of dish in other restaurants.
- Pepperoni Pizza ($11) & Prosciutto Pizza ($14) & Truffle Pizza ($16) were delicious, I think my favorite was the pepperoni because it had the most cheese and I really like cheese. All their pizzas are very flavorful and the crust was baked to perfection.
The Tiramisu for dessert ($9) was a little too creamy for me.
The atmosphere is nice and the music is romantic. What I didn't like is that people smoke inside, which makes it smell too bad. The place looks simple but the food is good, especially the dishes cooked in the wooden oven and I was impressed by the starters. The restaurant is very new, it opened only a month ago, so there is still room for improvement, especially in the service!
I recommend going there for lunch or dinner with family or friends and I highly suggest booking in advance!
