VAIA 📍DAMOUR
This new beach spot in Damour has it all – sandy shores, easy access to the sea, comfy seating options like beds and lounges, and a fantastic pool complete with a bar.
I recently visited with a friend for a beach day, and it was quite enjoyable. I was particularly impressed by the comfortable beach beds. The whole beach area has a classy and minimalist feel, making it even more appealing than some famous places in Mykonos.
We decided to try some bites from the menu, my top pick was the Avocado Bruschetta on Sourdough ($7). It tasted incredibly fresh. We also tried the Honey and Feta on Toast ($7), but note that these items are only available until 1:30 p.m. The Peruvian Ceviche ($13) was a delightful mix. The Caesar salad with chicken ($11.5) had a generous portion, and the dressing wasn't too heavy.
To accompany our meal, we selected a bottle of St. Thomas Rosé ($65).
The menu had limited options, but the food we ordered was good, and the prices were fair. The atmosphere was relaxed and soothing, with pleasant music in the background, courtesy of a DJ playing some house tunes.
One thing to mention is that the service could use some improvement; our orders took a bit longer to arrive.
Overall, we had a great day. It's always a pleasure to see new beaches opening up, especially ones close to Beirut. Plus, the prices here were reasonable.
