Looking for a getaway in nature with a private pool? Located just 20 minutes away from Byblos, this newly opened guesthouse offers contemporarily designed villas, surrounded by beautiful greenery.
Villa Joie began 15 years ago as a family home. It was here that generous gatherings took place every weekend and joy spread among family and friends. With the intention of sharing beauty and happiness, the family decided to expand Villa Joie into a unique resort with a multitude of activities and relaxation areas, ready to welcome visitors and guests and offer them their best "Joie experience".
Overall, there are 9 villas Bougainvillea, Jamsin, Chene, Capucine, Marguerite, Lavande, Dahlia, Hortencia, and Olivier; each room has a unique name & design. Some have private pools and can accommodate from 2-6 people. We stayed at Olivier Villa which has 2 bedrooms and a spacious terrace with a private pool.
The Room is equipped with anything you might need and also has a Fridge, AC, and TV. The coolest part of the room is the bathroom, it is actually hidden in the closet! For the food or drinks, you can visit Bar Do Sol serving International food. It’s a lounge area with a spacious pool where guests can swim during the day.
We tried several dishes from the menu, like Pizza pepperoni which was average. The fusilli pesto was A-Okay. I highly recommend the Australian steak; it was amazingly juicy and seasoned to perfection. I also loved the tomato and mozzarella bruschetta really good too!
Breakfast is included in the room fee and it was amazing! You can also just come to the restaurant during the day or for sunset drinks, you do not need to have a room.
Unfortunately, there were some downsides like the fact that you can't take your own food or drinks with you, you have to order everything from their restaurant. The private pools in the villas are quite small. And it's not completely private, people from neighboring villas can still see you.
All villas have different arrival and departure times. Our departure was at 10 am, but we found that it was way too early and we didn't have time to prepare properly. There are electrical wires that block some of the beautiful views. And children under 16 are not allowed in the main pool.
Overall, we enjoyed our time in this place! Especially thanks to the owner and his outstanding hospitality
