10 minutes away from Batroun, you can find a splendid place to have lunch in beautiful nature.
I am sure you know the Lebanese organic brand Biomass; well this place is their farm and restaurant. The place is very spacious, beautiful, and extremely green
They serve a buffet every Saturday and Sunday. The buffet includes food, lemonade, and Arak, other alcoholic drinks are extra.
In previous years, the food was previously prepared by Tawlet. This year, the women of the village are in charge of it. To be honest, I found the food at Biomass to be better than that at Tawlet.
The buffet offers Lebanese dishes prepared with organic vegetables and grains. Directly from the farm to your plate. The variety of food is great and you can find several stations. Saj station, egg station, grilled meat station, and the main buffet. I really loved the pasta dish with labneh and all the salads, the vegetables were so fresh! The chicken tawouk I found a little too dry.
You can also take a tour of the farm in the afternoon. We were content to just visit the area.
One thing people might not like: no music, a little too quiet (but the idea is to enjoy the sound of nature). We stayed at the table for 2 hours and no one took the plates away. We were taking new plates and putting more food from the buffet, and all the dirty plates were piling up. It was very annoying, especially since the restaurant had few customers.
Overall, the place is nice and I'm glad I had lunch there. The food was very satisfying and nature was extremely enjoyable. The hospitality is also excellent! I recommend going there for lunch with family. This place is both kids-friednly and pet-friendly!
