AMAR RESTAURANT đ DOWNTOWN
Amar Cafe is home to world-class art and floating lights. It is set within the trendy area of Downtown Beirut and is a go-to destination for a multi-sensory experience mixing modern Lebanese cuisine with a lively and artistic atmosphere.
We tried this delicious restaurant during the month of Ramadan, and it was a good destination for iftar. Amar Restaurant has three branches in Lebanon and last summer I reviewed the one in Harrisa, so this time it's the one downtown.
The interior is nice but not very spacious, I wouldn't like to sit there because it's not very comfortable. But I do like to sit on their terrace!
Their set formula offers a lot of mouthwatering dishes and costs 35$ per person or you can just order a la carte. We went there for a family dinner and ordered many different dishes to try. So I won't describe all the dishes we tried, but I will mention the ones I liked the most and recommend you to try.
-Lentil Soup
-Cheese rolls
-Kale Chicken Salad
-Batata Harra
-Hummus with basil
-Tawouk
-Warak Enab
For dessert - Knefe au Chocolat is a must! And they also serve sushi. So, their menu does not only focus on Lebanese cuisine but international cuisine as well.
Overall, itâs a nice Lebanese restaurant in the Downtown area some dishes are a really must-try and some dishes could be worked on. I recommend going there for lunch or for dinner with family and friends, they allow small dogs on the terrace.
