ROJO WINE AND DINE EXPERIENCE đź“Ť KEMPINSKI
Located at Beirut's five-star property, Kempinski Summerland Hotel & Resort, once a month, Rojo organizes a wine and dine experience. With its own private beach and marina on the Mediterranean, the resort is a little piece of paradise that guarantees seclusion, glamour, and absolute luxury.
They usually collaborate with different local wine producers each month to introduce Lebanese wines and pair them with exceptional dishes. We started our evening with a presentation and a wine tasting.
Once this is over, we moved on to an exquisite dinner with the aromas and flavors of the delectable four-course menu prepared by a Culinary Director, Chef Georges Mansour.
As soon as we were seated, a basket of freshly baked bread, along with dressings such as balsamic vinegar, tapenade, and olive oil was served. Then, we got the red snippet, I personally really loved it, the fish was really juicy with an outstanding sauce. We also got the Risotto with beef cheeks; it was uniquely succulent. For the last dish from the main course before the dessert, we got Lentils with quail. It is not a bad dish, but in my opinion, I wouldn't put it on the list with the risotto because they are pretty similar dishes, therefore it was a bit too heavy. The main dishes came with a glass of different wines red, white, and rose. I would also maybe eliminate the other main course and instead, add a soup or salad to start with. Each dish is very good separately but together it was a little odd and it was just 3 main courses.
The dessert was remarkable! Really amazing delicate work and an impressive presentation. The atmosphere and the interior of the restaurant are nice. A really great place for a romantic date. But I wish the lights were dimmed more for a more intimate experience.
Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and, in my opinion, the price is very reasonable for a fine dining experience, for an average of 60$ per person.
