LA MAISON DE LA FORÊT 📍BKASSINE
If you are looking for a getaway in the middle of the pine forest, you should visit one of the most beautiful villages in Lebanon - Jezzine and Bkassine.
Located 70 km from the city of Beirut, La Maison de la Forêt is a local eco-tourism site within the pine forest of Bkassine. It is a place of escape for people who want to enjoy the fresh air and break from their daily routine.
From exciting outdoor adventures to quality food and rustic accommodations, La Maison de la Forêt is perfect for a memorable and charming getaway. They offer 30 private wooden bungalows and 5 hotel rooms.
We stayed in the wooden bungalow with a nice balcony overlooking the forest. The room is pretty spacious and is equipped with a TV, Fridge, and Wi-Fi. We really liked the location of this resort - especially the fresh air, the relaxing atmosphere, and the hiking trails.
You can also find a restaurant with a nice sitting area and fireplace on the property. We didn't try their food as we went to L'os restaurant, only 3 minutes away, for dinner. The location and view of L'OS restaurant are just amazing. You can see the largest pine forest in the Middle East!
But the food was very average. Breakfast is included in the room fee. It's a buffet in their restaurant from 8 to 10:30 am. Honestly, I expected something more from the food that's why I didn't even take nice pictures because it was very average although I liked their foul.
Overall, I really enjoyed our stay in Jezzine, it was a great detox getaway and I loved waking up in the middle of the forest! But I think $140 for a wooden bungalow is a bit too expensive and we expected better food, service, and hygiene. So, I hope they will just work on that because the place is wonderful indeed.
