BABEL BAHR📍AMCHIT

This weekend we had a wonderful family lunch at Babel Bahr. The location of this restaurant is absolutely fascinating. You can sit inside with a Phoenician interior or outside on the terrace and both have a beautiful panoramic view of the sea. I enjoyed the clear color of the water and the waves were particularly beautiful

Babel Bahr is famous for its unconventional spin on fresh fish and seafood dishes. I really fell in love with the raw sea bream. It tasted like sashimi and came with soy sauce. It was extremely fresh and delicious, but expensive. The tabbouleh and fattoush were good, but nothing extraordinary for the price. On the Hot Mezzas side, we tried the calamari and the shrimp provential. The taste was good but the portion was a bit small. For the mains courses, we tried some grilled fish, it was fresh, but a bit dry. We ordered the grilled shrimp, they were also tasty and big, but a bit overcooked. We also tried Sultan Ibrahim fish; it was alright but a bit too oily. The fries were excellent.

For dessert, we had the Ghazlieh, the specialty of Babel. It's my all-time favorite! The food is overpriced. They also serve Arguileh.

Overall, the place is always full and you have to reserve a table before going. I think it's worth visiting at least once for the beauty of the place and the view of the sea. I recommend going there for lunch with family or friends.

💕Overall experience: 7,5/10
