BEIT MRAD 📍 AAZOUR
If you're longing for a tranquil mountain escape away from the hustle and bustle, then Beit Mrad, a newly opened guesthouse, could be your retreat. Tucked in Aazour village within the Jezzine district, this place is a hidden gem, oering a peaceful getaway. Currently, they have three bedrooms available, with a fourth one in the works.
What sets Beit Mrad apart is its seclusion. Surrounded by nature, the guesthouse boasts a cozy outdoor seating area complete with a fireplace and a dining table. The room we stayed in, Wouroud, even came with a private terrace. The rooms are thoughtfully equipped with modern conveniences such as a smart TV, fridge, tea kettle, and even a washing machine. Some rooms even feature a stove, and all of them have a charming chimney, adding an extra layer of coziness to the atmosphere.
One of the most remarkable features of Beit Mrad is its small farm. They grow most of their products organically right on the premises, ensuring fresh and wholesome ingredients. The tray of typical Lebanese breakfast they oer is certainly one of the highlights of the stay.
When it comes to lunch or dinner, you have options. You can dine at nearby restaurants, organize a barbecue, or order delivery to savor your meals at the guesthouse. During the day, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the beautiful trails and take in the scenic views on a hike around the area.
It's worth noting that there is no common indoor area for guests to gather; the seating area is outdoors. Additionally, there's no in-house restaurant, so dining options are either at nearby establishments or self-arranged.
A word of caution: the road to the guesthouse is quite steep, so it's best to avoid driving at night.
Beit Mrad is pet-friendly, welcoming your furry companions to join in on the experience.
