BEIT SMAR 📍SMAR JBEIL
Just a short drive from Batroun town, on a hill overlooking the Sea and surrounded by pine trees, lies Beit Smar, an estate offering tranquility and beautiful views. It houses upscale vacation homes.
Beit Smar offers you three villas, each having a unique name Giml, Aleph and Beit.
The villa we stayed in is named “Beit” and it was ravishing. With each different name, comes a different price, the rooms ranged between 120$ to 200$ per night.
The house is very spacious with a touch of modern yet traditional design. It is very stylishly furnished and has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room. As well as a private garden, a terrace overlooking the mountains, the sea and a private parking space. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a stove and a microwave, but sadly the teapot is missing.
When we stayed at Beit Smar, the rooms were not only clean but were also very neatly prepared; although some things surely needed some fixing. The service is pleasant. They are always available to help you with anything you might want or need from 9 am to 9 pm.
I certainly think that there should be a restaurant opening soon at BaHo, but when we were there it was not open yet. That being the case, we had to order food from another restaurant. Breakfast is usually served at BaHo as well, it was really good and varied, but it is not included with the room charge. It costs us 10 extra dollars.
it’s already a bit nippy to have a swim now, but you can definitely enjoy a drink on the bar whilst enjoying the view!
However, one of the negative points is that the villas are a bit far from BaHo’s pool and sunset bar and you have to take a car to get there. It is not an easy walk.
Generally, this guesthouse is so beautiful and the location is just perfect. You can explore the area by visiting nearby wineries or by having lunch in Batroun.
The way I see it, it is ideal for a group of friends, couples or even families to go there and enjoy a getaway from the city. And the best part is, it is pet friendly, therefore your pet will not miss out on your family outing!
