SAKINA 📍FATQA
On the 23rd of September 2022, we visited Sakina, a new guesthouse that opened only 1.5 months ago. This place is located only 10 minutes away from Jounieh and as soon as you go there, you will instantly get into relaxation/vacation mode under its pine trees.
I was not only impressed by how big the pool was, but also by their delicious food & cozy rooms! Honestly, when it comes to me, I always find it very satisfying to visit such places that had just opened recently, especially since they are new/clean.
They offer 15 "maisonettes" which are individually designed and all have their own spirit. Their bungalows are wooden, unlike their houses made out of stone.
We got the chance to check both accommodations, but we preferred the houses over the bungalows. We stayed in room 10, with one bedroom, a spacious bed, and a kitchenette. It had a very neat and admirable design. It was also very clean with a fresh smell, and the service was super pleasant. For an average of 120$ to 260$ depending on the room/day! The breakfast is also included in the room package, and I advise you to try their freshly squeezed kale pineapple juice.
Their bar and restaurant are ready to satisfy your appetite. They offer a seasonal menu to enhance your experience and refreshing cocktails, all made with some of their local ingredients. They also offer shisha.
We tried a variety of items from their menu. The goat cheese salad was very fresh and rich in flavor (12$). Their Tartufo mushroom bruschetta is a must try!! (9$). We also ordered the shrimp casserole, and I loved it (13$). The smoked salmon toast wasn’t bad (10$). Although it was lacking that delicious truffle taste, their truffle ravioli was just alright (16$). And for me, there is always space for dessert, we tried their delicious pain perdu, and it was extremely flavorful (10$).
Did you know you can have lunch/dinner in their restaurant without booking a room!
Sakina’s atmosphere was very charming and relaxing with chill music constantly playing in the background & during the night they change it to a more romantic vibe.
Overall, we loved Sakina and everything they offer. I would recommend you got there with a group of friends, or with your significant other for a gateway/dinner with friends!
The place is also pet friendly.
